Each experience visits two Kentucky distilleries for distillery tours with bourbon tastings and includes guided transportation and lunch at a local restaurant
Sunday Bourbon Tour
Distillery Tours: Maker’s Mark and Bardstown Bourbon Company
Timing: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (every Sunday April through October)
The lure of hand dipping your own bourbon bottle in Maker’s Mark’s iconic red wax draws thousands of visitors to Loretto, Kentucky each year. The one of the kind experience in their gift shop is a fun way to create a memento to keep and savor.
You’ll visit Maker’s Mark Distillery for a full tour of the expansive grounds. See large wooden vats of sour mash, dip in your finger to taste the sweet and savory concoction, and take in the aroma of the Angel’s Share in the air. Your tour concludes in the tasting room with a lineup of Maker’s Mark bourbon expressions. Plus, plenty of time to dip a bottle if you choose.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll visit new distillery Bardstown Bourbon Company. This distillery is unlike many others because it is what the industry calls a ‘contract distiller.’ Bardstown Bourbon Company works with aspiring whiskey makers to craft products for them according to their distinct recipes.

Wednesday Bourbon Tour
Distillery Tours: Woodford Reserve and Buffalo Trace
Timing: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (every Wednesday April through October)
Head east toward Horse Country and some of Kentucky’s oldest distillery sites on this bourbon tour! As you travel to your first distillery tour destination, your expert tour guide will share stories of local lore and Kentucky history.
You’ll love the trip to Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles past rolling fields and lush horse farms. When you arrive, you’ll learn about the historic distilleries that operated there. Each tour explores the sources of flavor in Kentucky bourbon. Your guided tour includes a tasting of Woodford Reserve products like Double Oaked and Distillers’ Select.
Lunch at a local restaurant is included in this tour. Then you’ll be on your way to Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, which is filled with more history and lore than you can fit in an hour-long tour! You’ll get a taste of the famous whiskeys made here and the stories behind them. Most tours include a walk down the bottling line, inside a bourbon warehouse known as a rickhouse, and parts of the grounds.
