Barbecue, Beer & Bourbon Tour

This interactive eating and drinking tour of Nashville is sure to please! There’s something for everyone as you visit a craft brewery, barbecue restaurant and bourbon distillery.

You’ll sip a frosty pint of your choice at a local Nashville brewery while you relax in their hip taproom. Immerse yourself in culinary tradition by sampling a flight of house-smoked meats paired with three spirits or beers of our choice, and then visit a bourbon distillery for a behind-the-scenes distillery tour and tasting of Nashville’s best selling bourbon and other award-winning whiskeys.

Tour Destinations

Local Smokehouse

Tours alternate between two of our favorite local smokehouses, Edley’s and Von Elrod’s. All barbecue is smoked fresh daily using local white oak wood, low and slow. Plus, both offer made from scratch sides to complement smoked meats perfectly using classic Southern recipes.

Bearded Iris Brewing

A glass being filled with craft beer directly from a tap installed on a wooden barrel at a brewery.

Bearded Iris Brewing is one of the South’s most talked about breweries. The relative newcomer and its Germantown taproom are already turning heads. Thrillist picked Bearded Iris as one of its “32 Hottest Breweries in America” and Men’s Journal singled out the Homestyle IPA as Tennessee’s standout offering for the “50 Best Craft Beers in the United States.” Brewers specialize in IPAs, DIPAs and pale ales.

Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery

A drink being poured into a glass at Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery, capturing the rich amber color and craftsmanship of the bourbon.

Before Prohibition, the original Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery in Robertson County was one of the largest producers of Tennessee whiskey in the world. Today, taste and see how founder Charles Nelson’s descendants are making a new whiskey with his original recipe. The revived the whiskey brand’s Nashville distillery produces Nelson’s Tennessee Whiskey, Belle Meade Bourbon (which Southern Living called “The South’s Best Bourbon”), and Louisa’s Liqueur.
