Your all-inclusive ticket to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail®
We plan your day in Bourbon Country from start to finish – transporting you to Kentucky bourbon distilleries and grabbing a local lunch along the way (except Sundays). Your Mint Julep guide will lead the day with fun facts and bourbon history filling in the blanks between each stop. They will take care of all the details – from tour timing to distillery admissions and more. You just sit back and enjoy your fully-guided bourbon tour!
Two-day and three-day bourbon tour packages are available through a Custom Bourbon Tour booking. When booking a custom bourbon tour, you will work with an Experience Coordinator to pick your favorite distilleries to make your own bourbon trail itinerary. Best Time To Visit the Kentucky Bourbon Trail®?
The beauty with the Kentucky Bourbon Trail® is you can visit any time of the year, as the distilleries operate year-round. Some distilleries are closed to the public on certain days of the week, but most are open seven days a week.
What is included on a public bourbon tour?
- Transportation: Each public bourbon tour includes transportation to all tour destinations. Public tours depart from the Falls City Market in the Omni Louisville Hotel in downtown Louisville. - Lunch: Lunch at a local Louisville restaurant is also included. The lunch location will vary. Guests will be able to choose one option from a special menu. *Lunch is not included for the public Sunday tour. If you would like to purchase alcohol at lunch or any souvenirs or bottles to take home, that is not included.

How much walking is involved on a public tour?
Each distillery tour varies but there is a fair amount of walking in Bourbon Country. We do suggest comfortable closed-toe shoes on all tours. Most distilleries are wheelchair accessible and can accommodate special circumstances. Most tours are partially outdoors.
Where is the pickup location?
All public bourbon tours and most other ticketed tours depart downtown Louisville. Tours depart from the Mint Julep Hub in the Omni Louisville Hotel. Please check-in at least 15 minutes before your departure time. Your tour leader will check you in, give you a wristband, and lead you to the bus as a group.
Kentucky Bourbon Tour to Maker's Mark, Jim Beam and Barton 1792 We signed up for the Makers, Jim, and Barton's Tour about 2 years ago and unfortunately had to push it back due to the pandemic. When we were finally able to go, Mint Julep delivered!
Our driver was absolutely incredible - Larry started the trip off by saying this is your trip so if you want me to say nothing I am game or if you want the deep history I am more than happy to tell you everything and everything. Perfect driver for us since we knew very little about the distilling process and less about the area. We only had 4 stops on the tour but Larry showed us some incredible pubs and even let us stop at extra distilleries along the way so we could get a variety of bourbon.
On top of just knowing the facts and driving, Larry was also close to most of the tour guides at the facilities and made sure they showed us everything we wanted to see. Bummer they have an 1000 character limit on this as we could go on an even longer rant on how great Larry was.
Joni, keep the stories coming! Joni and Holly were wonderful. We really appreciated learning about all the history not just with the distilleries but also about Louisville and Kentucky. We had a greater time. Joni, keep the stories coming!Charlotte P.
Extremely convenient to go through Mint Julep Very educational tour with a good amount of product tasting. I loved how I didn't have to navigate around any of the stops. Extremely convenient to go through Mint Julep, and to have lunch already secured was an added enhancement! Thank you for the great time and wonderful memories.Lisa &.
